SISSEL EDELBO breathes new life into traditional Indian saris by transforming them into unique, feminine, and sustainable pieces that blend artisanal heritage with Scandinavian design.
Founded in 2004 by Jeanne Sissel Thomsen and Christina Edelbo, the brand is based on a deep passion for Indian culture. The designers regularly visit India to select the most beautiful fabrics themselves: vibrant colors, exceptional prints, and materials steeped in history.
Each piece is made from 100% recycled saris in traditional workshops, respecting local expertise and a sustainable approach. The result: clothing that is unique in the world, imbued with poetry, character, and a genuine commitment to circular creativity.
